Rick an Daryl get up close!

Recently AMC has released two new promo pictures featuring  sheriff Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and crossbow wielding Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus).
Andrew Lincoln's close up shows you how far him and his group will be pushed in the upcoming season. It also portrays his character very well and shows that he may take another trip or two to Crazy town as he did in season 3.
On the flip side, Daryl's portrait displays a rather darker side of him, based upon the cold gaze he has in his eyes. The writers have truly done a wonderful job exhibiting  Daryl's backstory throughout the seasons. For example in season two, while searching for Sofia, Daryl and Andrea had a conversation about how Daryl got lost in the woods for two weeks without anyone missing him. We also know that Daryl was abused as an adolescent, the writers first hinted this in season two when Carol bent down to give Daryl a kiss and he flinched, they later revealed the scars on Daryl's back in season three.
My prediction is that this season, we're going to see a completely different side of Dixon, a mad at the world type of attitude. According to Reedus, Daryl seems to be more mad and hungry for revenge on The Governor than anything.
In an interview with Examiner, Reedus quoted, "He wants a ferocious revenge, he doesn't just want to see justice -- he wants to rip his head off."
I honestly hope that in the end, Daryl is the one that takes out The Governor. Daryl is the only one who has lost blood at the hands of The Governor, that in its self is why I believe he deserves the honor to end The Governor.

The walking dead season four: Pigs! Horse(s)! A garden!

As I predicted, this picture shows that the group will indeed have livestock and a garden to tend to. The top left shows Rick and Hershel having a conversation while tending to a tomato plant. It seems as if Rick is asking Hershel (Scott Wilson), the father figure of the group, for more advice. The top right shows Rick (Andrew Lincoln) feeding piglets their daily chow. The bottom left shows Michonne (Danai Gurai) on her horse, with a slew of walkers straying towards her. The bottom right shows Carl (Chandler Riggs), running along side a makeshift fence.

Season four spoilers: Bob Stookey, Entertainment Weekly Covers, Comic Con poster, Second Walker, Maggie and Glenn kissing

       BOB STOOKEY (Lawrence Gilliard Jr.)

A while back I did an article on this particular man, Bob Stookey, feel free to scroll down and learn some insight on exactly who his character was in the comics, and a little on who he'll become. If you haven't figured out already from the title, Lawrence Gilliard Jr. will be portraying a character by the name of Bob Stookey, a former army medic. In the novels and comic books he originated at Woodbury, but as you can see above, he is established at a Big Spot. It's obvious that this Big Spot is, or once was a post apocalyptic army base. It seems to be reasonably secure from walkers, but I doubt its as safe as the prison especially when your dealing with the living.
According to Entertainment Weekly its safe to say that he will join up with Rick and company right off the bat. Entertainment Weekly says, Played by Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (The Wire), the TV version of Stookey is a former Army medic. But unlike the comic version, this Stookey does not hail from Woodbury. Instead, he is found by Daryl Dixon about a week before events pick up in season 4. “His back story is not entirely the same as in the comic and the novel,” explains new show runner Scott M. Gimple. “I think he’s seen things go bad over and over, and winding up in this stable place doesn’t shake him from his experience. He struggles with that.”
Apprehending the paragraph above, I would easily vouch that most of his base was wiped clean (killed), and Bob was one of the very few who survived. In the comics and novels he was an alcoholic, if he isn't intoxicated as soon as we meet him, I would expect him to start his drinking habits up very shortly in to the season.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY SNEAK PEEK COVERS

More spoilers have rolled in! As you can see below we have three exclusive covers from Entertainment Weekly!
The first cover depicts Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) brandishing his Colt Python and a pocket knife. This will be the first of three collector's covers and will be in stores July 26th 2013.
The second collector's cover portrays a fan favorite Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) perched on his loud, but bad ass motorcycle. He is also wearing his unique winged leather vest, poncho, and gloves. This one also, according to the top right corner will also be released on July 26th.
The third and last collector's cover shows Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) with a hostile expression on his face. At the closing of season three many fans questioned whether the season four Carl would become more like The Governor or his father, Rick. Being that this is the only photo we have thus far of Carl, I'd speculate that he will, in the near future, gravitate closer towards The Governor's customs and conduct. This cover will also be distributed on July 26th.
Every cover has the exact same caption under the words "The Walking Dead", it reads, NEW ZOMBIES! NEW THREATS! GEAR UP FOR SEASON FOUR.  It seems with the casts hints and this magazine as if there will be new, scarier walkers this season. We also can infer that many new, devious characters, possibly from the comics will arise.

COMIC-CON POSTER

As you read above in my last branch, it's obvious that the walkers will be much more hazardous and scarier. I think that this poster may be the first glimpse as to what these "new walkers" will look like. As you can remark the walkers eyes are illuminated or terribly blood shot. Either way these walkers are much spookier than last seasons.

OUR SECOND LOOK AT A WALKER

Recently AMC has released a new photo of a female walker. As the last one this one is highly decayed and a bit bonier than last seasons corpses. With this being in black and white we can't see the color of their eyes (I predict they will be an orangy red). With the season four trailer premiering on Friday we should get many glimpses of what they look likE.

MAGGIE AND GLENN LOCKING LIPS

This is just a quick picture of Maggie and Glenn kissing from Entertainment Weekly, there isn't much in the terms of spoilers that we can get out of this. Except the fact that there love for each other will be just as strong as last seasons if not stronger. Last season, the writers made it clear that the two would marry in season four, if all goes well I'd expect them to be husband and wife by around episode four. You can see a gif on Entertainment Weekly's website.

Season four spoilers: The first of The Governor, A masked Daryl, and the first walker of the season

AMC's "The Walking Dead" will premiere sometime in October and I know that you all are anxious to see what the new show runner Scott M. Gimple has in store for us. In the past few days I have run across a few photos and would love to share them and my thoughts with you all.

THE GOVERNOR IS BACK

In this recent picture you can plainly see The Governor ( David Morrissey)  and his distinguishing feature; the eye patch. As all comic addicts know, The Governor is memorable for his long black hair and his horseshoe ("biker") moustache. As we can see above it appears as if season four will start gravitating closer towards the comics (at least in comparison to previous seasons.) This photo also confirms Kirkmans statement: "We are definitely going in some new directions and this will continue to be a different take on the material form the comics but there will possibly be some scenes that are a little bit closer to the comic than we’ve done in the past. Season four probably has the most number of scenes that are adapted directly from the comic series or very close to what we did."

THE MASKED MAN

Why is Daryl covering the bottom half of his face? Your guess is as good as mine. Many sites have joked around about him changing Judith's diaper or robbing a zombie convenience store. These are fun to joke around about but when I seriously think about it, I can only come up with three possible scenarios for why he's masked. One, they decided to clear out the walkers in the prison yard, and they are burning the bodies. Two, Daryl was captured by harmful (or cautious) survivors, and was masked until he brang them to his home, the prison. The final scenario would be that he's just wearing it to look cool or "bad ass". I doubt that's the case, although it is a possibility. If I had to guess between the three choices, I'd bet on scenario one. It makes the most sense being that there is prison gates in the background. I'm not really big on the idea that he was captured and I think that Daryl is already enough of a bad ass that they don't need to overdo it with adding a bandana.

THE FIRST SPINE-TINGLING WALKER

As for season four spoilers Norman Reedus (Daryl) teased, “They’ve introduced a way to make zombies scary again, and they’re terrifying. The new threat is just unreal. I can’t of course tell you what that is, but it’s brilliant writing.”
Recently, on AMC's official Facebook they released this bone chilling black and white photo of a greatly decomposed walker. Gale Anne Hurd said that this season the walkers will become a much more of an imminent threat compared to last season. I would imagine that there would be more close calls than last season, along with deaths.

SEASON FOUR BANNER

The new Comic-Con banner and season 4 promo poster was uncovered for AMC's "The Walking Dead," and many fanatics speculated to what it signified as fresh spoilers dawned. There's not much we can get out of this in the terms of spoilers, except the fact that Michonne (and possibly others) will be riding on horses as they annihilate decomposing walkers. Given that they've found horses may contemplate that they have also found other livestock and figured out a way to sustain them. It also may mean that gas has been hard to come by and the group, either by initiating a search or by luck, found the horse and possibly other livestock. I would imagine the animals wouldn't be hard too hard to take care of being that over fifty percent of Woodbury is at the prison with nothing to do. With Kirkman confirming there will be another time skip I wouldn't be surprised if they did have a small garden started by the season opener.

THE FIRST OF RICK

This is the very first photo AMC released for the upcoming season in October. The photo depicts Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and a walker that appeared to have been at a funeral before the apocalypse occurred. Based on Ricks facial expression he appears to have spotted something, either a familiar face, a settlement, survivor, herd of walkers, etc. It could literally be anything, or nothing, we'll just have to suffer for another 90 days to find out!

SPOILER: Rick missing his hand?

I’m warning all whom may read this to be very skeptical as to whether its true. I cannot authenticate the plausibility of these pictures as a potential indication for what's to happen in Season 4. But as many of us are readers and fanatics of The Walking Dead comics, we are accustomed to the loss of Ricks hand shortly after we met The Governor.

Many fans have been curious as to  whether the television counterpart of Rick Grimes would endure the similar injuries from The Governor. In previous interviews, Kirkmam revealed that he slightly regretted taking Ricks hand off, saying it limited the things he could do with the character. Until now fans had no proof that Ricks hand would ever be removed in the TV series and many fans suspected it wouldn't occur.

In the photos above we see Rick and Carol seemingly collecting supplies (for the loads of new people at the prison). With the angle of the photo, you don't get a good view of Rick's wound. Although if you look closely at the first picture you'll see what looks to be a few fingers protruding out.
In this photo it appears as if Andrew Lincoln (Rick) is tampering with his bandage while sitting on the curb.  From this angle it clearly looks as if his hand is severed but it's also possible he has his fingers folded into his palm.

In conclusion, these photos don't determine whether Rick's hand is severed or damaged. Whatever it may be, we can expect some sort of injury to Ricks hand in season four, whether it be from the notorious Governor or worse.
